Everette Brown narrows to five

Two-way star Everette Brown of Wilson (N.C.) Beddingfield has a list of five schools, and the talented defensive end knows what he will be looking for when it comes time to decide.
“I’ve got it down to North Carolina, North Carolina State, Virginia Tech, Florida State and Georgia,” said the 6-foot-4, 238- pounder. “I’ve been on the campus of the North Carolina, NC State and Virginia Tech and I have a good feel for them. I want to see Florida State and Georgia, so I’ll know more about them.

"When I go to the schools I always ask about their business schools, because that is what I’m going to major in. Then I try to meet with the position coach, because I’ll be working with him the most. I’m just making sure it is good place I can live for four or five years.”
Brown hasn’t set up any official visits yet, and there is no leader for his services.
“I want to look at them all before I make up my mind,” said the four-star prospect who is the No. 3 weakside defensive end in the country.
Brown has some more high school football work to do. Brown’s Beddingfield team will take on Oxford Wells this Friday in the first round of the playoffs.
Brown has 29 receptions for 530 yards for eight touchdowns at tight end and 13 sacks on the season. He was recently picked to the play in the Shrine Bowl Dec. 18 that features the best high school players from North Carolina versus the best from South Carolina.
Beddingfield is 6-4 on the season.
“We didn’t do as well as we would have liked in the season, but we are in the playoffs and that it is the important thing,” Brown said. “We’re going to try and keep playing.”
