Everett made tough pick

Coach Inman Sherman of Webster (Fla.) South Sumter is proud of his star player Earl Everett and he's proud that he made a decision that had to be one of the toughest in his life.
"He struggled with it," his coach said. "But in the end, he said he just felt like he belonged at Florida."

Everett's commitment is another big coup for UF coach Ron Zook. Everett had been torn between Miami and Florida for the past few days. He also visited Nebraska and was interested in Florida State. In fact, he’s such a good athlete, Nebraska was recruiting him as a quarterback.
"The other schools are going to be disappointed, but he just sat down and looked inside and made the decision he felt was right," Sherman said.
"I'm proud of him because he had to make a very tough decision between two great schools and programs."
