It has been expected for some time and it has finally happened. Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne star Donnie Evege has committed to Ohio State over scholarship offers from West Virginia, Purdue, Indiana, Washington, and others.
"My family and I went to Ohio State on an unofficial visit today and I committed," Evege said.

"I talked to some academic advisors. I talked to the coaches again. Coach Jim Tressel, coach (Paul) Haynes, coach (Tim) Beckman, and coach (John) Peterson were the main ones I talked to."
Evege has long had Ohio State as his favorite.
"I chose Ohio State for a lot of reasons," he said. "It meets all my needs as a person and a student athlete. The tradition is the best. I enjoy the coaching staff. I think I fit in well there. It's just the best decision for me."
Evege is a talented all-around athlete.
"Ohio State is looking at me as a cornerback or safety, but more as a corner," Evege said.
The 5-foot-11 and 185-pound Evege is a dynamic performer on both sides of the ball. He played cornerback, safety and running back during his junior season. Evege rushed for over 500 yards, had over 300 receiving, and made 31 tackles.
Evege will attend Ohio State's senior advanced camp June 23.
