Evans: Toughest decision of my life

Making one college decision isn’t exactly the easiest thing to do, but making two of them has turned out to be the most difficult thing that Kennesaw (Ga.) Harrison running back Jason Evans has ever had to do.

But after weeks and weeks of thinking, flip-flopping in decision, the decision has been made – Evans has officially changed his colors from Penn State blue and white to Stanford cardinal and white.
“I never thought this would be that difficult,” Evans said on Friday afternoon. “I thought when I first committed to Penn State that it was the perfect place for me, but the more I looked at the whole picture – academics, my future, football and the other stuff – I just felt best with Stanford.
“I felt like I was more at home there than at Oklahoma or at Penn State.”
Evans also considered Oklahoma seriously and at one point he said he was on the verge of also committing to the Sooners, but in the end he just felt right at Stanford for a number of reasons.
“It’s best for me on and off the field,” Evans, who is ranked four stars, said.
“I want to really express my thanks to Penn State and Oklahoma. They were nothing but first class through the decision making process and understood my decision.”
Evans said he expects to have a shot at playing early at Stanford and the Cardinal’s spread offense that uses running backs out of the backfield on passing plays also contributed to his decision.
