Evans names two leaders

Indianapolis (Ind.) Warren Central running back Darren Evans has multiple scholarship offers. However two schools that haven't offered stand at the top of his list.
"I think I have eight or nine offers," Evans said. "Mississippi State, Colorado, Washington, Indiana, Purdue, Oklahoma State, Louisville, and Marshall have offered.

"And I've talked to people from Virginia Tech and Wisconsin. Hopefully they'll offer. If they both offer (my decision is) probably going to be between those two."
Evans attended the Hokies' football camp over the weekend.
"I just got back from there on Sunday," he said. "The camp was great. I talked to the running backs coach and the defensive coordinator. They said they might offer. I'm looking forward to that."
Evans is also looking forward to a scholarship offer from Wisconsin.
"I like their tradition," he said. "I like what I've heard about them. I talked to coach (Bob) Palcic last week. He said they are going to let me know in about two weeks if they are going to offer. The running backs coach has to look at my tape."
The 6-foot-0 and 207-pound Evans rushed for 2248 yards his sophomore year. He gained another 2138 yards and scored 39 touchdowns during his junior season.
