Evans is Pac 10 bound

Chandler (Ariz.) Basha defensive back Quinn Evans narrowed his choices to Stanford and Northwestern some time ago. As is often the case with players looking at the Cardinal, Evans was non-commital about naming a favorite until he passed through admissions. That happened a week ago and the corner quickly made his college choice.
Evans, 5-10, 170 pounds was one of the top corners we saw at the NIKE Camp at Purdue last Spring. He impressed at the camp at Stanford as well and projects as a very solid Div I defensive back.

The athlete took an official visit to Stanford back in Septemeber and then checked out Northwestern in December. After mulling the two schools over, Evans has made his college choice.
"I committed to Stanford," Evans said. "I got the word about a week ago that I cleared their admissions board and basically committed on the spot. Northwestern is a great school and I considered them hard but Stanford was just the best fit for me.
"It's close to home and my family can go and see me play any time and that was important to me. Plus I know a lot of people playing at other Pac 10 schools and I'm really looking forward to playing against them. I just like the Pac 10 a lot and I love Coach Harbaugh.
"Coach Harbaugh has a lot of energy and I think he's the guy who can rebuild that program. He's always talking about how they're goal is to go out and 'shock the world' so that's what I'm looking forward to doing now as well."
