Evans adds an offer, schedules official

Norman (Okla.) Norman North linebacker Jordan Evans has been a man of many hats this fall. As the Timberwolves have opened the season 2-1, the 6-3, 210-pound standout has been making plays from his outside linebacker position, but he has also had the chance to contribute in a few different ways.
"I'm playing a whole bunch of positions right now, Evans said. "Mainly outside linebacker, but I play some d-line and I'm a kick returner and I play receiver here and there and they put me in as the wildcat QB."

He has more responsibility, but it's a responsibility he relishes. He is also quick to point out that he has teammates who are more than capable of handling business.
"I know the coaches and the team relies on me for big plays and I'm blessed I have the ability to do that," Evans said. "I'm not the only one who has all that on my back because there's 11 guys out there, and we all have our own responsibilities and do what we are supposed to do."
Evans is focused on the season, but things are also going well on the recruiting front. He currently holds offers from South Dakota St., Navy, New Mexico, Memphis, and Ohio. He has received interest from Oklahoma, and several others are showing interest.
"Kansas State a little bit. There's Tulsa and there's Arkansas State, and Oregon State I get letters from but I haven't had much contact with them." Evans said.
Out of all the offers and all the interest, one team has shown a little more attention than the rest.
"I'd probably say New Mexico. I talk to them a lot," Evans said. "I talk to their coaches and I already have an official visit set up with them. The plan is for December 14, and I'm hoping my football team makes it to state and state is somewhere around that time but if things don't work out my official date is December 14."
The trip to New Mexico is his first scheduled official visit, but he has already taken a few unofficial visit and has a few more coming up.
"I have gone to some games," Evans said. I was at Kansas State last week and OU the week before. I'm going back to OU this week, and basically if people ask me to go to games I'll do my best to go up there as long as it doesn't affect my team."
When it comes to the recruiting process, Evans is keeping an open mind. He has developed good relationships with each college coach recruiting him and at this point is not naming favorites.
"No sir, I see all schools the same," Evans said.
