Euwell is sticking by NC State

North Carolina State head coach Chuck Amato's firing on Sunday night is expected to have an effect on at least a handful of committed players. One player that doesn't seem too worried about it is Tarboro (N.C.) Southwest Edgecombe defensive end Linwan Euwell.
"I think they are losing a good coach and one season doesn't determine a whole lot," he stated. "It doesn't really bother me. I'm still committed to North Carolina State. I've already talked to coach Cignetti and he asked if anything has changed and I told him no.

"I still have North Carolina State on top because I've always been a fan of them. I love their defense and I really like the program there. I also like coach Cignetti a lot. I stay in touch with him pretty regularly. The only that might change things is if he's not there."
The three-star prospect concluded the season with a 12-1 record.
"We lost in the third round of the playoffs, but still had a pretty good year," he said. "I felt like we fought back hard late in the season. I did well too finishing with about 90 tackles, 20 for loss and 11 sacks."
