Jermaine Eskridge has aggressive plans for the offseason. Executing them may be difficult, but he speaks with conviction when he discusses the agenda. The class-of-2018 wide receiver has the ambition. That much is clear. Whether or not he has the airline miles is yet to be seen.

“I’m going to take a lot of unofficial visits this summer,” Eskridge said. “I’m probably going to head out to Michigan State, Ohio State and Alabama. Probably a couple of other schools, too.

A four-star prospect, Eskridge is a bit fickle when it comes to naming frontrunners. His favorite schools change often, but he owns his uncertain nature. This week, the Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson prospect is feeling an in-state program.

“It’s back and forth,” Eskridge said. I’d say, leading, right now, at the top, is Florida.”

IN HIS WORDS: “I’m gonna wait to decide,” Eskridge said. ”It’s not about new offers. I think I have the ones I’m going to get. I’m just basically waiting for pretty much just Baylor right now.”

RIVALS REACTION: It’s hard to say which of Eskridge’s offers are committable at such an early juncture, so projecting his landing spot is difficult. He seems like a good candidate to remain in the Southeast region, but that will depend on his options down the road. A lot of Eskridge’s recruitment will hinge on his upcoming junior season. His offer list reflects the wide-ranging interest in his services, but some schools are in wait-and-see mode for the moment.
