The nation's top player is in a holding pattern of
sorts, as far as recruiting goes, until he wraps up his season.

Ernie Sims, a five-star member of the
Rivals100 team and
the No. 1 rated inside linebacker, is sticking with his top five teams.
"It's still Miami, Florida, Florida State, Georgia
and Auburn," he said. "It's pretty much those five. We're in the playoffs
right now, so once our season is over, I'm going to try to set up visits and
find out where I need to be."
Tennessee had a small opening to crack his list of
favorites last month, but Sims (6-0, 220, 4.5) said he has reverted back to
the original five.
No dates have been considered for official visits
yet. "They'll probably all be in January," he said. "That would be best for
The North Florida Christian star was scheduled to
visit Georgia for an unofficial visit this past weekend, but a minor injury
in Friday's game prompted him to cancel. "I'm just banged up a little bit
and needed to stay home and rest," he said.
