Los Angeles (Calif.) Venice defensive lineman Erick Lobos took his third official visit of the year to San Diego State this past weekend and said the Aztecs have definitely given him something to think about.
Lobos, 6-3, 285 pounds is a very talented defensive tackle prospect who we feel is one of the best players in the West region at his position. He was recently named All-League and All-City 1st team and should compete for All-State honors as well. The lineman has already visited Washington State and Washington and took his third visit to SDSU.
“I had a lot of fun, it’s kind of hard not to being in San Diego,” Lobos said. “It’s a real fun environment there with the beach and the weather. The players love it there and the coaches do a great job. I think it’s an up and coming program and they have a lot of players coming back next year so they could be really good in a few years.
“I still want to take my last two trips though and will visit Utah and Arizona in January. Every trip has been great so I think I owe it to myself to see what else is out there. Both trips to Washington and Washington State were real good and I almost committed to Washington. My teammate, Mephin Forrester did commit but I just want to wait things out and take the rest of my trips before I do anything. I know that will make things even more confusing for me but that’s what I feel I need to do.”
