Epps still looking for first offer

Littlerock (Calif.) defensive lineman Bobby Epps is still not getting the attention a player of his ability should be getting. The Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey standout had back to back solid seasons for the Dons before transferring this past summer but the phone has been pretty quiet up to this point.
Epps, 6-2, 230 pounds earned all-city honors last season after totaling 85 tackles and 10 quarterback sacks. Despite his linebacker size, the athlete played at defensive tackle for the Dons and that's the same position he's playing now for Littlerock.

"I like playing tackle," Epps said. "I can use my quickness to get around opposing lineman and it's quicker to the quarterback at tackle rather than end. I know in college I'll likely be playing defensive end because of my size but I'm enjoying playing tackle right now."
There was some talk early on that Epps had fielded offers from Baylor and UCLA but Epps denied that was the case.
"I read that on the internet but I haven't heard from either of those schools, I'm not sure where my old coach got that from," Epps said. "Since September, the only school that has called is Utah. I'm getting letters from Washington, Boise State, Utah and Colorado and that's about it right now. Things have been kind of slow and I don't know if it's because schools don't know where I'm at or what but hopefully things pick up during the season."
In two games, Epps is off to a good start totaling 13 tackles, two sacks and two fumble recoveries.
