Epps is a shutdown CB

Norfolk (Va.) Norview cornerback Delonte Epps has received some Division I interest from the Big 10, ACC and Big East. The 5-foot-9, 175-pounder with 4.5-second speed is a shutdown corner according to his head coach Robert Toran.
"He's got very good cover skills and excellent hands," he said. "He could possibly play both ways in college as he's our go to guy on offense. We try to get the ball in his hands as much as possible in fades, reverses and other situations. On defense, he always plays one on one with the other team's best receiver."

Epps has received interest from a handful of colleges including Georgia Tech, Clemson, Syracuse, Indiana, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
"He still has to get his grades up some because he's borderline right now at a 2.2 GPA," he said. "If he works on those he could definitely be a Division I player or a very good Division II prospect."
As a junior, Epps was named second team all-district wide receiver and honorable mention all-district cornerback after hauling in 28 receptions for 600 yards and six touchdowns. He added six interceptions on defense.
