Engram has options

When college coaches set out looking for wide receivers they generally head to Florida, but many of them have figured out that the Peach State has its fair share as well. Another wide receiver has emerged out of the Peach State with offers in the form of Atlanta (Ga.) North Clayton wide out Dirk Engram.
“I have offers from North Carolina, Duke, Northwestern, Tulane and Bowling Green,” Engram said. “I got calls last month from Georgia Tech, Maryland, Notre Dame, East Carolina, Memphis, South Carolina and Georgia in addition to the schools that have offered.”

At the NIKE camp in Atlanta Engram measured in at 5-foot-9.5 and weighed 169 pounds. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds and had a 4.22 second shuttle. He also had an impressive 32.5-inch vertical jump.
“I grew up a Georgia Tech fan,” Engram said. “Right now I would have to say my favorites are Georgia Tech, Duke, North Carolina, Georgia and Notre Dame. I am pretty cool with D.J. Shockley and he is one of the main reasons I like UGA.”
As a junior he caught 83 passes for 1,147 yards and 10 touchdowns. He had 407 yards from kick-off returns and 315 yards returning punts.
“I would like to stay close to home if at all possible,” Engram said. “I would like to be able to play by my sophomore year, because I know how hard it is to play as a freshman. The graduation rate is something that is important to me.”
Engram has already camped at North Carolina and Clemson this summer and plans to camp at Georgia Tech on July 10.
