Emersons star is rising

Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis' Stori Emerson has had a strong start to his off-season and could be on the verge of an offer wave this spring.
Emerson, a 6-foot-2, 187-pound wide receiver prospect, currently holds two offers from Western Michigan and Miami (Ohio). Western Michigan was the first school to offer and Miami (Ohio) followed just this past Monday.

"The (Miami) head coach told to me about their history and what he liked about me," Emerson said. "He said they liked that I could go up and get the ball and that my routes are solid. I just needed a little bit more work and I was going to be really good."
Besides the two offers from MAC programs, Emerson is starting to see interest rise from Big Ten schools and is looking at several schools for spring visits.
"I talk to IU and Ohio State a little bit," Emerson said. "I went to two of IU's (junior days). I planned on going to Western Michigan (this week), but my mom said it was kind of far so I will have to go another time. I am supposed to go to Miami (Ohio) in March."
With Indiana being the school he has visited most thus far in the recruiting process, Emerson talked about what he has seen from the Hoosiers.
"The coaching staff and the facilities I really liked. I really like Coach (William) Inge," Emerson said. "The weight room and the training room I really liked. The community seems real live and supportive, so I liked that about them."
Emerson finished his junior season at Ben Davis with 56 catches for 886 yards and 11 touchdowns.
