On the defensive side of the ball, Lockett has racked up 19 tackles, seven pass deflections, one interception and one fumble recovery. As a special teams player, Lockett is averaging 20 yards per return and 15.5 yards per kick return.
What makes Lockett's defensive stats so impressive is teams are avoiding him so he doesn't get a lot of opportunities. He is also outstanding against the run.
There is another school showing interest in Lockett in addition to Washington, Purdue and UConn.
" I have been enjoying my recruiting process," Lockett said. "The college I favor right now is Oregon State because they were the first college to contact me as of September 1st asked how my season is going.
"Oregon State asked for some game film about midway through my senior year and also stats," Lockett said. "They asked about height and weight and what kind of person I am. They are interested in me playing cornerback for their program. For now Oregon State is my main school of interest."
The scouting report on Lockett, he's your pure cover corner who is physical and aggressive in coverage. He is also solid in run support and will come up and hit a ball carrier. He is speedy and elusive when running the ball.
Lockett also has D-I bloodlines. His brother is UCLA starting safety Bret Lockett.
