Elzy favors Midwest schools

Warren (Ohio) John F. Kennedy running back Anthony Elzy had a big junior season, establishing himself as a major college prospect.
The 5-foot-10 and 205 pound Elzy rushed for just over 2400 yards, averaged 11 yards per carry, and scored 30 times. For his work Elzy was named all-conference, all-county, and all-Ohio Division V.

Not surprisingly, Elzy is drawing interest from recruiters.
"I get mail from Michigan, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Maryland, North Carolina, Indiana, some from Oklahoma, a couple from Ohio State, and Iowa," Elzy said.
"I visited Notre Dame's junior day last month. And I visited Michigan for a spring practice. I'm going to Syracuse (today) and Maryland April 23 for spring practices.
"I'm going to Notre Dame and Michigan's camps this summer. And maybe Ohio State and West Virginia.
"Maryland, North Carolina, and Bowling Green have offered me."
Asked if he has a favorite, Elzy said, "Notre Dame. I like their tradition. There's just something about Notre Dame."
