Elston continues to have Tigers in front

HOOVER, Ala. -- Rivals250 safety Trae Elston of Oxford (Ala.) doesn't beat around the bush when it comes to discussing his leaders.
He not only has six favorites, but has them ranked in order.

"No. 1 is Clemson, No. 2 is LSU, No. 3 Miami, No. 4 Alabama, No. 5 Oregon and No. 6 is Auburn," Elston said Friday at the National Select 7 on 7 Championships. "Clemson has been my No. 1 since my sophomore year. That was my favorite school I wanted to get an offer from.
According to the 6-foot, 183-pounder, he'll be visiting the Tigers soon. The upcoming trip to the ACC school will be his third, Elston said. One of his previous Clemson visits was during last summer; the other was for a game.
"That's my favorite school, so I've got to take a visit down there to see the campus and everything, and how it is," Elston said. "[He'll be going there] probably in three weeks.
Who might be the biggest threat to Clemson?
Possibly the Crimson Tide.
"Alabama has been coming at me the hardest," said Elston, an Under Armour All-American. "They're recruiting me as a wide receiver -- as an athlete. I want to play receiver some."
For Elston, a final decision isn't expected any time soon.
In fact, he said it won't happen until "national signing day."
