Ellison down to two

Redondo Union (Calif.) standout Kevin Ellison took his third official visit this past weekend to Oregon State. Although he has a tentative trip set for Cal this coming weekend, that visit will likely be canceled as he has narrowed his choices to two.
Ellison, 6-1, 215 pounds visited Oregon State this past weekend after previous visits to USC and Colorado.

“All the visits are basically the same to be honest,” Ellison said. “You get a tour of the campus and the football facilities, hang out with the players and go out with them at night, talk to the coaches and meet with the academic advisers.
“That’s how all three trips were for me although at Colorado and USC, I went on game weekends but I’ve seen games at Oregon State before so that was no big deal. My older brother (Keith) hosted me and I talked a lot with Coach Riley so that was cool.
“I don’t think I’ll be visiting Cal next weekend. I’ve narrowed it down to USC and Oregon State and both schools will be in the home this week. SC comes tomorrow, Oregon State comes in on Thursday. After the visits, I’ll take the weekend to talk things over with my family and then make my decision. It’s going to come down to where I feel the most comfortable and early playing time. I want to play early, that is important to me so I’ll just wait for these visits and then I should have enough information to make a decision in about two weeks.”
Oregon State is recruiting Ellison at linebacker, USC as a safety.
