Ellis ready for visits

Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland tight end Brian Ellis has been a hard prospect to get in touch with lately. Rivals.com caught up with Ellis and he updated us on his recruitment and named a final four schools.
"I still have the same visits set up as of right now," Ellis said. "I have a visit set up to Florida State on January 7 and one to Tennessee on January 14. I am also going to take official visits to Florida and LSU, but I have not set up the date on those yet. I may not take another visit other than those four right now, so I might be just down to those."

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound Ellis runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds, has a 300-pound bench press.
"I have not talked to the new coaches at Florida yet, but I did talk to one of the new assistants at LSU the other day," Ellis said. "Florida State came in for an in-home visit right before the dead period started."
Ellis is ranked as the nation's No. 9 tight end and as the No. 38 player in the state of Florida.
"I do not have a leader right now," Ellis said. "I am not leaning one way or another. I just want to take all of these visits and kind of weigh my options at that point. I am not in any kind of hurry to make a decision or anything like that. I just want to take it slow and make sure that I make the best decision possible and don't have any regrets."
