Hampton (Va.) Bethel defensive end Chris Ellis was one of many players in attendance at Sunday's Virginia Tech-LSU and was impressed. What does that mean when it comes to his college choices?
"The game was really great," said the 6-foot-5, 230-pounder of Virginia Tech's big win over LSU. "That place was packed and going crazy."
Ellis has been very busy since returning from Blacksburg.
"I've talked to a bunch of teams," he said. "Tennessee, NC State, Maryland, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Virginia, East Carolina and a bunch more."
So where does he stand when it comes to recruiting?
"Virginia Tech is still way up there and I also like Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Maryland." he said. "I want to start getting my official visits scheduled so I can see some game atmospheres. I talked with Tennessee about visiting for the Miami game but a date hasn't been set up yet."
Ellis is thinking about taking in the Virginia-South Carolina game this weekend, but isn't sure he can make it.
