Ellis discusses Elite performance

Defensive tackle Reggie Ellis out of Washington (D.C.) Dunbar was the most impressive defensive player at the Elite College Combine last week. That's why the 6-foot-3, 285-pounder walked away with defensive MVP honors.
"I thought it was great," he said. "There were great people there and tremendous atmosphere and they gave us the opportunity to showcase our abilities.

"I think I proved I'm a physical player with speed. If you watched my film last year, my knee and ankle gave me problems, but all that stuff is behind me now. Overall it was great to workout in front of guys like Urban Meyer and others."
Since the Elite, Ellis has gained a few more offers.
"Recruiting has picked up a lot after the showcase," he said. "I've got offers from Pittsburgh, Boston College, Connecticut, Syracuse and others that I'm not sure off the top of my head. I think I'm around eight to ten offers total."
The Rivals250 defensive lineman went on to discuss what kind of schools he's looking for.
"I really am looking for programs that have tough, aggressive defenses that allow their linemen to run," he said. "Ones like Miami, Maryland, Florida and Penn State. Those are the types of teams I like."
Ellis isn't done with camps this spring as he plans to head to the Nike Camp at Penn State this weekend.
