Ellis back from Knoxville

Hampton (Va.) Bethel defensive end Chris Ellis is back from his mid-week visit to Tennessee. So how did it go?
"It was good, I got to spend a lot of time with my position coach but I didn't get to spend much time with the other coaches or coach Fulmer," said the 6-foot-5, 230-pounder. "They were on the road recruiting. I would have liked to spend more time with them, but that's okay."

What else did he like?
"That stadium is amazing and the facilities are out of this world," he said. "I'm a little tired of orange and white, everything there is orange and white and it's all huge. It was really amazing."
Distance could be a factor for Ellis.
"It was around a two-hour flight because I had to go to Cincinnati first and then down to Tennessee," he said. "It's also around an eight or nine hour drive. That could be an issue."
Ellis has four coaches coming into his school on Wednesday and is excited about his visit to Virginia Tech this weekend. He also has NC State set for Jan. 31. He's already been to Maryland and Virginia.
"Right now Virginia was still my best visit, but Tech just called and told me that they're ready for me," he said. "They said they plan on impressing me."
Ellis said he'll decide right around Signing Day and that all five of his favorites will be in the mix.
