"I've got mail from over 16 D-1 schools," Elliot said. "I'm interested in Oklahoma, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Boston College, West Virginia -- those are some of them.
"But there's a lot of other schools that send mail too.
"Ohio State is my favorite. I grew up an Ohio State fan. (The coaches) are supposed to be back down here in the spring."
Elliot, who said Oklahoma offered a scholarship when he was a sophomore, plans to be in Columbus during the summer.
"I'm going to Cincinnati and Ohio State's camps," Elliot said. "And I might make it out to Oklahoma's camp."
The 6-foot-0 and 239-pound Elliot made close to 100 tackles and had two interceptions during his junior season. Elliot was an all-conference, all-city, and all-county selection.
