Elkins LB is one to watch

The senior class at Missouri City (Texas) Elkins this year was an incredibly strong one, led by Mike Matthews, Corey Thompson and Chance Allen. However, the Knights do have some talent returning next year.
Helping anchor the defense will be linebacker Keree Renchie. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound junior will be one to watch in the class of 2013 and he is already on the radars of several college programs.

"I'm hearing from Arkansas, (Texas) A&M, Michigan State, Tulsa and Mizzou," Renchie said.
Renchie has had a chance to make a couple of unofficial visits to an in-state program this season and he says he liked what he saw.
"I've visited A&M twice so far," he said. "I went up there for a couple of games. I like the environment there a lot and the campus is nice. It's probably one of my top teams."
Renchie has had a chance to get to know the Aggie staff as well.
"When I went to their camp I got to talk to coach (Nick) Toth," he said of Texas A&M. "I like the relationship we have and I like his coaching style."
Though it is still very early in the recruiting process for the junior defender he does admit that a trio of schools has caught his attention.
"It's either A&M or Arkansas," Renchie said as to a favorite. "I really like both of those schools. I'm also hoping to hear from LSU. Those would probably be the top three right now.
