Elkins is waiting for an offer

While he doesn't hold an offer to date, Charlotte (N.C.) Ardrey Kell safety Troy Elkins is getting a fair amount of interest. Is anyone on the verge of offering?
"Recruiting is picking up a little bit," he said. "My dad and I just started sending out film to a couple places already.

"I attended the North Carolina-Virginia game a couple weeks back. North Carolina was very excited to see me. They said I was number two on their list behind I believe a player from Ohio.
"I also just received a letter today from Virginia saying they got my film in the mail and they would be reviewing it."
Elkins is hoping a college comes through with a scholarship soon.
"Right now it's coming down to the film," he said. "I sent out two full games to everyone that is looking at me so hopefully that will help.
"I'm excited by the interest, but I need an offer. The season is coming to an end and I think I will be alright now that my film is out there a bit."
The Carolina prospect is receiving interest from many I-AA's as well.
"Coastal Carolina definitely wants me and schools like Liberty and Abilene are talking to me also."
More visits are expected to come for Elkins soon.
"I will be attending more schools like Wake Forest and NC State before their season's end."
