Elite DB Nyland Green sets commitment date

The date is set for Covington (Ga.) Newton four-star cornerback Nyland Green.

He almost committed early in the spring, then again over the summer, and he was planning to be committed by the end of November, but he took the time needed, and how now set Tuesday December 8 as the date he will announce his commitment.

"My recruitment is now CLOSED God has shown me my home so save the date I will be committing December 8th," Green said via Twitter.

At different times in 2020, different schools have held the lead and been considered the favorite behind the scenes. When commitment first came up back in March and into April, Clemson looked to be on the verge of receiving that phone call from Green. Then as the summer progressed, Auburn had the momentum. Tennessee looked to be almost a lock to land Green the last six weeks. Georgia has always been there, and the in-state Bulldogs may have been the frontrunner at the very beginning of this year.

This one could still go a few different ways.

Green, like always, is keeping things extremely close to the vest, and not dropping any hints about his decision.

All should know his decision next week.
