Elite 2016 DB ready to see Florida State

Class of 2016 Phenix City (Ala.) defensive back John Broussard is just about ready to cut down his list, but he's waiting for offers from two of the nation's top programs before he starts to zero in.
"I'm thinking about when I'm going to release my top schools," said Broussard, who competed at the Rival100 Five-Star Challenge presented by Under Armour as an underclassman last month. "I'll probably do it at the end of the summer when I get all of the offers. I'm waiting until after I camp at Florida State and Alabama."

Broussard already has offers from several of the Southeast's best, including Auburn and Georgia, but said he's eager to get out and compete some more before the summer is over.
"I'm going to Florida State and Georgia on July 18," he said. "Then I'm going to either Kentucky or Auburn on the 19. Florida State ends at around 11 a.m. then we're going to drive up to Georgia for Dawg Night."
Broussard said he's looking forward to all the trips, with the visit to Florida State being his first visit to Tallahassee.
"I've met Coach Kelly once before but I've never been to their school or anything," Broussard said. "This will be the first time I've been there. They said if I do well I'll get an offer."
Broussard said he'll likely camp at Alabama on July 13, with the Tide also saying that if he performs well they will add to his offer list.
