Elijah Bell lands first two offers

Akron (Ohio) Buchtel athlete Elijah Bell had a strong showing at the Rivals.com/VTO Elite 100 Showcase in Pittsburgh last weekend. On Monday, his strong month continued as the 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect grabbed his first two scholarship offers on Monday.
"I got offers from the Air Force Academy and from Boston College," Bell reported. "It's great and is just going to open up doors for me."

Bell learned about the offer from Boston College after assistant coach Jim Bollman was in his school on Monday.
"The offensive line coach was at O-State and now he is at Boston College," Bell said. "He said they needed a lot of receivers and that is the spot they want me at. I have heard about about them, but I don't know too much. I am trying to do that now."
Air Force's offer had actually come in earlier in the day, and Bell learned about that from his head coach.
"Coach said he will probably get on the phone with them and call me on three-way," Bell said. "My coach has been telling me they liked me and were trying to get in touch with me, but I have been so busy with camps I haven't been able to talk with them."
Bell also received in-school visits from West Virginia and Morgan State on Monday. West Virginia is a team he has been hearing from for some time, and he made a visit to Morgantown earlier this spring. A potential offer from the Mountaineers has been discussed.
"They said they were going to try to fit me in at receiver," Bell said of West Virginia. "They liked me on defense, but said they were going to try to fit me in at receiver."
Bell's most recent campus visit occurred this past weekend when he took him Toledo's spring game. He has also visited Georgia Tech and Cincinnati, and is hearing from Nebraska and Wisconsin.
