Elffers hopeful for more offers
Andrew Elffers had a big sophomore season and did well at numerous events this off-season and now the Pasadena (Calif.) Maranatha quarterback hopes more offers come in soon.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound three-star prospect already has offers from Idaho, UNLV and Eastern Washington and is hearing from many other schools.

With some solid performances early in his senior season, Elffers hopes to land some more offers to have a bigger selection of schools to choose from.
"I'm really finishing out school ball and preparing for the season," Elffers said.
"I did receive an offer from UNLV and I've taken visits and I'm waiting for the recruiting process to pick up. I'm hoping some more offers come in. I'm really focused on school ball and passing leagues and doing well in the first couple of games during the season."
In his sophomore season, Elffers threw for 3,328 yards with 37 touchdowns but slipped a little bit in his junior campaign.
Still, Oregon State, UCLA, San Diego State, Oregon, Duke, Vanderbilt, Boise State and others are showing interest in the three-star recruit. He's hoping a big start to his senior season gets some of those teams over the edge.
"Numbers only go so far," Elffers said. "It really comes down how precise your film is and what you can do as a quarterback.
"I want to win games this year and lead my team as far as it can go and reach our full potential. The first few games are big so I can send film out to coaches from different schools. I'm expecting great things from my team."
