"Cincinnati was always my second choice behind Penn State. Cincinnati's my hometown and I like the new coaches. I just liked it there."
"I'll play offensive tackle."
El-Amin made official visits to Cincinnati and Kent State. Those two offered a scholarship while Penn State did not.
The 6-foot-5 and 315 pound El-Amin had a fine senior season for Cincinnati (Ohio) Purcell-Marian. He has been a varsity starter since his junior season.
