Edwards pulls fifth offer

Offers continue to come in for Woodbridge (Va.) Woodbridge Senior cornerback Evrett Edwards. His fifth offer came in earlier this evening, the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder pulled it from the ACC.
"I just got off the phone with Wake Forest," he said. "I talked to the coach and they told me they liked me and they showed the film to their new defensive back coach. They said they wanted to extend an offer."

What does he think of the Demon Deacons?
"It's a great school," he said. "They have great academics and I like the fact it's a private school. They are winning off the field in the classroom and they play SEC schools like Vanderbilt. They are a big ACC team and I think they beat Florida State this past year. They are on the rise, on the come up and I'd like to be part of that."
Edwards may stop through Wake Forest this weekend as he plans to head to Duke for a visit.
"Duke hasn't offered," he said. "They are another private school like Wake Forest. I like what they have to offer and their program is definitely going to be a program everybody across the country knows about in the coming years. I like what they offer off the field, in the classroom as I'm looking to go into the business world."
Edwards noted that he might stop at another school this weekend while in the Tar Heel State.
In terms of other trips, Edwards plans to head to Northwestern on April 13th and Illinois on April 14th.
He added he is nowhere close to a decision.
"I'll have my decision around November or December."
