Edwards has picked up a fourth scholarship offer following a busy
week of unofficial visits.
Edwards made stops at Duke, East Carolina, Maryland, Pittsburgh and Wake
Forest last week, and the Demon Deacons came through with an offer. They join
Duke, Stanford and Vanderbilt as the schools who have offered the 5-foot-11,
180-pound standout from Starr's Mill High School.
"I was impressed with all the stops, but Wake Forest, East Carolina and
Pittsburgh were the most impressive," Edwards said. "I really liked the
defensive schemes that Wake Forest and East Carolina use. They fit my style
well."
Edwards, who had 60 tackles and six interceptions as a
junior, will visit Vanderbilt this week. He continues to list the Commodores as
one of his top two teams. He'll also visit Notre Dame and Stanford later this
summer.
