THE LATEST: Edwards-Helaire received his fourth scholarship offer from the Cincinnati Bearcats. His offer list also includes Nicholls, LSU, and Southern Miss. He is also receiving significant interest and keeping in contact with coaches from Oregon, Georgia, and Florida State. He has not been focused on recruiting during the season and Catholic's playoff run.
IN HIS WORDS: "Right now things are getting crazy in college football with all the wins and losses. But right now, me and my parents are just looking through different colleges and seeing who's more interested and who's going to give me benefits in this area or that area. We've slowed down on it for the season and now it's more about trying to win state in this Division I playoffs because its probably one of the hardest playoffs in Louisiana. As soon as we do our best in the playoffs I'm going to start back with recruiting visits and stuff."
On what caught his attention about Cincinnati: "I'd say the environment of the fans and they sent me a couple of videos of some games and some hype videos just to open my eyes on the football team. I think the atmosphere of the school is a plus."
WHAT'S NEXT: Edwards-Helaire has his eyes focused on New Orleans (La.) Brother Martin on Friday night at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans. It will be a big time match-up featuring Edwards-Helaire and Brother Martin's top rusher and 2017 Rivals250 ATH Bruce Jordan-Swilling.
