Eddie Royal sets first official visit

Chantilly (Va.) Westfield wide receiver Eddie Royal has scheduled his first official visit. Where is he headed?
"I'm going to Tennessee on Dec. 12," said the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder. "They've offered me and I like the tradition and the coaches there."

However, the Vols are still battling a few teams, including home-state power Virginia Tech.
"Tech is also a school I'll visit officially," he said. "I like the location, they have a great staff and my sister attends Tech. Also my quarterback, Sean Glennon, attends Tech as well."
In addition to the Hokies and Vols, Royal lists Marshall, Syracuse and Maryland as the rest of his top five. Virginia "would be No. 6 if I had to name six, but they haven't offered."
The Terps also haven't offered Royal, but seem very close. Right now he's keeping things open.
"I don't now much about Syracuse and Maryland so I'd like to visit," he said. "My brother, Chris, plays at Marshall and I like their style of offense. I'll know more after my visits."
Through his first two games Royal had nine catches for 162 years and two scores.
