ECU interested in Georgia back

In the midst of a good individual senior season, Duluth (Ga.) running back Kennard Reeves has seen interest in his abilities pick up.
"East Carolina just started calling me," Reeves said. "So far, their coach seems real down to Earth."

Though schools have talked about offering a scholarship to the 6-foot, 181-pounder, Reeves feels one could be imminent.
"They have talked about offering me," he said. "But most have to wait for the head coach to review the tape."
Other Division I-A schools Boston College and Vanderbilt also remain in contact, while Division I-AA programs Furman, Wofford, Georgia Southern and Southern Illinois have been showing strong interest.
Like ECU, the Salukis are another new team showing interest. The fact that New York Giants standout Brandon Jacobs, a former Southern Illinois running back who also spent time at Auburn, has made it to the pros from the program, has Reeves interested.
Reeves, who has rushed for 700 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, has been on unofficial visits to Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Wofford, Furman, Georgia Southern and Samford this season and remains open to all of the schools he is talking with.
His team has struggled to a 1-8 record, but got its first win last Friday night with a 24-14 victory against Centennial.
