Ebner keeps his options open

Friendswood, Texas linebacker Will Ebner is on the board with his first scholarship offer and has plenty of reason to be interested.
Ebner's brother, Jake Ebner, current is a sophomore for the Houston Cougars where Will picked up his first offer from. There is already a connection with the program so there is plenty of interest in the local team.

"I think Houston is a good program and I can see them doing big things in the future," Ebner said. "I think they're getting better and better every year. I also really like their strength and conditioning program – I think that's one of the best in the nation.
"I also like it because its close and my brother will be playing there at the same time. Plus, the coaching staff is really cool and nice so it would be fun to play for them."
Ebner also took a junior day visit to LSU a few weeks ago. He was also impressed with what the Tigers had to offer.
"That was my last visit, yes," Ebner said. "It was fun. I enjoyed the campus and liked the coaches a lot. It's always a good experience to see the differences in the colleges to get a different view on things."
Ebner was out a lot of his junior season due to an injury, but his sophomore year is what makes him a top target. He recorded more than 100 tackles as one of the younger players on varsity.
He's back now and says he "just can't wait to play." As for recruiting, he's taking his time.
"I'm probably going to wait until spring for any more trips," Ebner said. "I just want to see how my spring goes and weigh my options. I'm wide open right now."
