After a weekend official with East Carolina, Christian Academy of Louisville (Ky.) quarterback Cole Hodge has found his home, announcing his commitment to the Pirates on Tuesday.

The three-star, signal-caller had taken visits to Central Michigan and Arkansas State earlier this month and was also garnering a lot of interest from Appalachian State, Liberty, UAB, and Ball State.

Hodge is coming off a big junior season, throwing for 2,949 yards (73%) for 48 touchdowns and just four interceptions while rushing for 711 yards and nine touchdowns.

He breaks down his decision to East Carolina with Rivals.com below.

ON HIS COMMITMENT TO EAST CAROLINA:

"My decision came down to the belief the coaching staff has in me and the amazing fan base at East Carolina."

"The staff thinks I will have an outstanding career there. (Head) coach (Mike) Houston has a perfect vision for the program and has high expectations for the team and individual success."

"Coach (Donnie) Kirkpatrick (offensive coordinator/quarterbacks) has coached eight NFL quarterbacks and is a great play-caller with a phenomenal resume."

"The fan base is awesome, I've seen them fill a 52,000 seat stadium. They love East Carolina football and I can't wait to play for them."
