Early options for Ware

CRESTVIEW, Fla. - Sophomore defensive end Denzel Ware and his Crestview (Fla.) teammates wrapped up their spring with a victory over nearby Niceville (Fla.). For the 6-foot-2, 215-pound rising junior, it wrapped up a strong month for him on the field.
"This was the best spring I have had my entire time of playing football," Ware said. "It was tough. Coach gassed us. The workouts were tough. But I think it made us better players and a better team. We work harder than our opponents.

"I feel like I am doing great and progressing as time goes by," Ware added. "I have learned a lot of new things. I just want to get better at coming off the ball faster and taking on blocks. I just want to become a better player."
While he won't graduate high school for nearly two more years, Ware is already drawing major interest. He claims verbal offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Ohio State.
"I have heard the most from Florida State and Florida," Ware said. "My number one pick is Florida State, then Alabama, and then Ohio State."
Ware shared a few of the reasons why Jimbo Fisher's team stands out early on.
"I started liking Florida State when I was six (years old) and I still like them," Ware said. "I always will. I like what Jimbo (Fisher) has done with the team. I like what they are doing over there. It is also close to home."
Florida State will be amongst his stops this summer.
"I am attending Florida State's camp and I am going to try to go to Florida and Ohio State's camps," Ware said. "I am also going to camp with my team."
While his recruitment is already taking off, Ware said he won't rush into an early decision.
"I am going to wait until my senior year and try to check out every school," Ware said.
