Early interest for 2015 QB

In the first game of his sophomore season, Bothell, Wash., quarterback Ross Bowers faced five-star quarterback Max Browne and his Sammamish (Wash.) Skyline team.
Although Bothell lost the game, Bowers certainly left an impression by throwing for 224 yards with three touchdowns, an interception and two fumbles.

There were some bumps in the road but for a sophomore on that stage, Bowers made it clear he is a quarterback to remember in the 2015 class.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound recruit said he's already hearing from some major college programs, too, and more could be on the way.
UCLA, Wisconsin, UConn, LSU and Washington State have all reached out recently and Bowers said he's especially gotten close with the Bruins' staff after attending camp this summer.
"I don't have any offers yet," Bowers said. "They just sent letters to my coach to send film and whatnot.
"UCLA called my coach and asked for me to come to a private camp that I went to."
At that UCLA camp, Bowers said he hit it off with offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Noel Mazzone.
That could be important in the coming years.
"It was with their offensive coordinator and another quarterback trainer that was a friend of coach Mazzone," Bowers said.
"Both coaches are common-sense quarterback coaches which I liked a lot. They took my mechanics and took them to the next step. I saw why UCLA hired coach Mazzone."
Since it's still so early in his recruitment, Bowers said there are no favorites yet and he and his family have not planned any unofficial visits, either.
Another difficult test awaits Bowers and his Bothell team this week as it hosts powerhouse Bellevue.
