Kevin Costello could be one of the top 2016 quarterbacks in the West and Pac-12 schools are already taking notice.

The 6-foot-4, 198-pound prospect from Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic has toured some Pac-12 schools already and might be close to some early offers.
Costello was one of the better prospects at the Steve Clarkson Field Generals Quarterback Camp last weekend and he said some trips are coming up.
"I'm going up to Stanford in either February or March," Costello said. "They asked me to come back up there. I'm planning on stopping by UCLA pretty soon, too. Kyle (Sweet) and I are going to UCLA pretty soon here. His brother is there now so they have a pretty good hook-up. That's where he really wants to go."
The 2016 quarterback said he's also planning to go back to USC soon as well.
Stanford seems to be an early leader, but since he's still a sophomore in high school, it's still in the opening stages of his recruitment.
"Right now it is," Costello said. "It's up there. The Pac-12 is always great."
Costello, who also visited California last year, said no school has discussed an offer yet, but after he does some more workouts coaches could get more involved.
"I don't have any right now," Costello said. "They want to come and see me one more time. Right now that's kind of where it's at for me."
