Early decision for Gray

DALLAS - Junior running back Cyrus Gray made his way over to the Rivals.com Junior Day at Southern Methodist University on Saturday with an open mind.
Gray not only came away with important information about the recruiting process, but also an outlook for his own recruitment. Arizona, Oklahoma State, Baylor, SMU, and Tulsa have all offered the DeSoto, Texas running back. A visit to Texas is set for Sunday, but he says he'll wait on a final decision.

"I'm leaving here, going to Texas tomorrow," Gray said. "I still plan on hopefully going to Texas A&M and Oklahoma. I'd like to wait and at least take some official visits before I get it al done."
Doing a little bit of everything for DeSoto as a junior, Gray anticipates to be just as versatile as a senior.
Playing quarterback in 2006, Gray says he'll likely share time there, at running back, and receiver in 2007. Every school he has heard from likes his abilities at the running back spot and that's what he's been working towards.
While position is set, there will be a number of other factors he'll look at in regards to choosing a school.
"I'm going to look at the academics," he said. "I also want to see how many athletes graduate from each school. I know it's a not huge deal, but I'm going to look at the facilities and the alumni base too."
