Eagles lead for Jersey OL

Alex LaMagdelaine, from Rumson (N.J.) Fair Haven, stands an impressive 6-foot-4 while weighing in at 275 pounds. He is a versatile lineman and is being recruited to play guard, center, and defensive tackle. He also has named a definite leader and a timetable for making his decision.
“Boston College is my No. 1 school right now. Penn State and Connecticut are the rest of my top three.”

When asked what he thinks about the Eagles, LaMagdelaine gave a rave review.
“The campus is beautiful, just a really nice place. The program is definitely heading in the right direction. Also, the coaches are great guys. They care about you as a person, and it’s really a family atmosphere. I got to talk with some of the current players, and they all love it. They have also been recruiting me hardest.”
LaMagdelaine has been on two unofficial visits to Chestnut Hill, and said that he will definitely take an official visit to BC. For the other four though, he is not sure where he will go.
“I don’t want to go too far away from home, so probably nowhere over five hours driving distance. I will definitely think about schools like Maryland, Syracuse, and Virginia Tech in addition to UConn and Penn State.”
He has two camps coming up -- Penn State and Boston College. LaMagdelaine isn’t sure what will be the deciding factor in his decision, but he wants to make his choice early on in the football season. His lone offer so far is Connecticut, but LaMagdelaine says he expects a BC offer soon.
“When I go up there to camp, they are going to really look at me. They said that if I do well there, they will offer on the spot. Otherwise, they want to wait until my first two games.”
As for what position he will play at the next level, LaMagdelaine can play guard, center, or defensive tackle. And while he prefers defense, anything it takes to get on the field, he will do.
He was voted first team all-county, all-division and third team all-shore as a junior.
