Eagles land top NJ prospect

The Boston College Eagles received an early Christmas present on Wednesday.
Teaneck (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep cornerback/wideout Marquise Liverpool has committed to the Eagles over offers from Virginia, Iowa, Southern Cal, Tennessee and Rutgers.

"He just felt it was the best choice academically, athletically and location-wise," said Don Bosco head coach Greg Toal Sr. "Marquise is a dynamic player and will be a great addition to BC. They want him as a wideout."
Liverpool has 800 yards and 10 touchdowns for New Jersey's No. 1 team and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds.
"This is a big deal for BC," said Toal Sr. "They're getting a great player over schools like USC, Virginia and others. Marquise is the type of player they need to move to the ACC."
So will this commitment help with his teammate, five-star linebacker Brian Toal?
"It certainly makes BC look that much more attractive," said Toal Sr. "Brian has a great deal of respect for Marquise and they get along well."
