Position: Wide receiver/defensive back
Size and speed: Liverpool stands 5-foot-10 and weighs 180 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds.
Statistics: On offense, Liverpool caught 40 passes for 801 yards and nine touchdowns. He also returned two punts for touchdowns. On defense, Marquis intercepted eight passes and took two of them back for touchdowns.
Favorite schools: Boston College, Virginia, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Rutgers, Notre Dame.
Skinny: Marquis is one of the top playmakers in New Jersey for 2004 with his awesome speed and tremendous ball skills. Liverpool could be a wideout or cornerback in college and will certainly be a special teams standout as well. Although he’s only 5-foot-10, head coach Greg Toal said that he’s the rare athlete where size doesn’t matter. He has a 37-inch vertical leap and is very strong for his size.
Liverpool attended junior day at Boston College and might camp at Notre Dame this summer.
"I'm still unsure about camps," he said. "I want to attend at least one and maybe a couple of them. The junior day at BC was very good, I learned a lot about the school."
He has offers from BC, Virginia and Rutgers so far and said that the Eagles and Virginia Cavaliers are his two favorites.
"I like the coaches from both schools and I get a lot of mail from both places," he said. "Education is important for me as well and both BC and UVA have great reputations. It's still very early though and I like the other schools on my list as well."
