Eagles back in the lead for Brace

Worcester (Mass.) Burncoat lineman Ron Brace had been a BC fan for a long time, but when the found out the Eagles were recruiting him on offense, his interest began to wane. All it took was a phone call last week, however, to boost them back to the top.
“They called last Monday, and said they wanted to recruit me on defense and that’s what I wanted to play,” Brace commented. At 6-foot-4 and 310 pounds with a 5.0-second 40-yard dash time, he has excelled on both sides of the ball in high school.

Ron took an official visit to Boston over the weekend, and that reaffirmed his love for the school.
“It went good,” he commented. “I have liked them ever since my sophomore year. They have been one of my top schools.
“I just wanted to see the campus, and I had lots of fun,” he said. He was hosted by freshman offensive tackle Gosder Cherilus, also from Mass., and rated the trip a nine.
In addition to BC, Brace has also visited Hofstra and Northeastern. He was scheduled to visit UMass and UConn later this month, but said he will likely cancel those trips.
