Dwayne Jarrett adds surprise visit

First, 6-foot-4, 205-pound star athlete Dwayne Jarrett was all but committed to Southern Cal on his official visit a month back. Then he decided he might want to stay closer to home and Virginia had the lead. Now there's a new player in the mix.
"I'm visiting Boston College this weekend," said the No. 5 athlete in the country. "I've heard some very good things about their program and coach Bill McGovern has been recruiting me from the start even though I wasn't interested. They're also involved with some of the top players in New Jersey and that's attractive."

Jarrett, who is one of the nation's most explosive wide receiver prospects, has been to USC, Pitt, Iowa and Virginia and now plans on waiting until Signing Day to make his decision. He has eliminated Pitt at this time and still favors Virginia and USC.
"Southern Cal was awesome and if it wasn't so far from home, I'd be going there for sure," he said. "But getting back home would be really tough and I'd like my family to be able to see me play. Virginia is a great school and they love to throw the ball and I had a great time on my visit. We'll see how BC is, I'm looking forward to it."
