Millville, N.J. defensive tackle Dwayne Hendricks has narrowed his list down to three schools, with a fourth trying to get into the act.
"Dwayne has narrowed things down to Iowa, Virginia and Miami, but Joe Paterno was just here and wants him to take an official visit to Penn State, so we'll see about that," said Millville head coach Dave Heck of his 6-foot-4, 246-pound star. "Dwayne told Michigan a couple weeks ago that he wasn't interested anymore. He's already been to Michigan, Iowa and Virginia and has his official visit set with Miami for Jan. 16. Penn State wants him to come in either before or after Miami."
Hendricks, who is the No. 9 defensive tackle in the country as ranked by Rivals.com, will choose sometime after Miami.
"Coach Mark was here from Miami and they gave every indication that they'll wait on Dwayne and his visit so he can take his time with his decision," said Heck. "I think he chooses right after that visit. Right now I have no idea where he's leaning, 18-year olds change their minds like the wind."
Hendricks too his first official visit to Michigan on Oct. 24 and, after initially thinking it could be the place for him, decided he wasn't a fit. He liked Iowa and Virginia quite a bit and Miami will be hard to beat.
"It's going to be a tough decision for him," said Heck. "It will take a lot of talking and comparing."
