THE LATEST: Duvernay was hosted by Jarvis Baxter and A.D. Miller on his official visit to Oklahoma. The two Sooners are former Dallas-area standouts. In addition to his official visit he has also trimmed his list to five - Oklahoma, Baylor, Ohio State, LSU, and Alabama. He has been planning to take his official visit to Baylor after the season, but he is now planning to take an in-season visit to Waco. The November 14 weekend for Baylor's game against Oklahoma was mentioned as a possibility, and the only other home weekend for Baylor during the season is against Texas in early December. Shortly after his Baylor visit he hopes to make a decision, but he does not have a date in mind at this time. In addition to taking an official visit to Baylor, Duvernay plans to visit LSU, but it looks like his trip to Baton Rouge will now take place after the season.
IN HIS WORDS: On his Oklahoma official visit: "It was good. I had a great time. It was fun, real fun."
On what stood out about his visit to Oklahoma: "Really all the new facilities they have coming. Everything that's coming in the next year along with their offense really caught my attention. It's going to be real nice."
RIVALS' REACTION: Duvernay has been taking official visits and trimming his list with regularity. It is now down to five. There's Alabama, Baylor, LSU, Ohio State, and Oklahoma. Duvernay has not said it, but the Baylor appears to be in good shape. He now plans to visit Waco during the season instead of after, and then he wants to try and make a decision. There is also a family tie with his brother Donovan Duvernay already committed to Baylor. The Bears remain the Rivals.com prediction.
