Dutchs coach talks about decision

Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga head coach Kenny Lucas has been through every step of the recruiting process with his star wideout, Doug Dutch. So why did Dutch commit to Michigan?
"It was a hard, hard decision," said Lucas. "Michigan was just where he felt most comfortable and he felt the fit between athletics and academics was great. He can possibly play early there, it's a program that will compete and he really liked his visit there and the coaches. He would have loved to be able to pick all five schools, because he really liked something about each one, but in the end he had to pick the place he felt best about."

Lucas was with Dutch last night as Maryland made their final pitch.
"It was very convincing and made him think even more," he said. "Staying close to home was alluring, but Michigan was enough to overcome that. He's very excited about his choice."
Dutch, the No. 98 player in the country and the No. 10 wideout as ranked by Rivals.com, chose the Wolverines over Maryland, Virginia, Miami and Florida.
